Beginner Rock Climbing Courses on Dartmoor, Devon
Beginner rock climbing courses are run with the aim being to provide a safe, fun introduction to rock climbing.
Usually Dartmoor based we cover some important safety aspects of climbing as well as many climbs, bouldering and an abseil during the two days.
Course Objectives:
Harness comfort and Safety.
Helmets.
Tying onto the rope.
Belay technique.
Lowering a climber.
Rock climbing technique - Balance, foot placements, crack climbs etc
Abseiling with backup rope.
Rope coiling.
Climbing hardware.
Cost includes Transport, Accommodation, Equipment and two days Instruction. Pick up from Newton Abbot Train station and drop off if required. We will be staying at a backpacker's hostel in Moretonhampstead which has a few pubs and shops for entertainment and supplies.
